Astrologically – Guidelines to Navigate 2025

Planetary positions at the time of birth determine the Prarabdh/ Promise for the native. These planetary positions get reflected in the natal/ birth chart of the native which reveal events that will unfold over the lifespan. Although, Prarabdh/ Promise substantiates the event to happen in a native’s life, the timing of event fructification will depend on following factors:

  • Dasha (planets ruling during the particular time). This can be inferred from analyzing multiple Dasha system (Vimshottari, Yogini, Jaimini etc.)
  • Natives Karmato achieve Prarabdh/ Promise. In case efforts are made in right direction the fructification of event will be timely with better quality.
  • Transit i.e., current position of planets.

Amongst aforesaid three, transit of planets is most important. The timing of event to fructify is based on transit of planets which is assessed either through Sun sign or Moon sign or Rising ascendent (Lagna). The same is elaborated below:

  • Based Sun Sign: this considersnatives month of birth. Western Astrology follows this approach.
  • Based Moon Sign: this considers rashi in which Moon is posited in the natal/ birth chart.
  • Rising Ascendent (Lagna): in the natal/ birth chart.

It is preferable to consider rising ascendent (Lagna) in the natal/ birth chart to assess impact of transit from planetsand time the happening of event/s. Each planet has an approx. transit time to complete one revolution through all 12 zodiac signs (viz. Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces). The influence of each planet to time the happening of event continues during the transit time. The transit time of each planet is detailed below:

  • Moon 2.25 days in a Rashi.
  • Mars 1.5 months in a Rashi.
  • Sun, Venus, and Mercury 1 month in a Rashi.
  • Jupiter 12 months in a Rashi.
  • Saturn 2.5 years in a Rashi.
  • Rahu & Ketu 1.5 years in a Rashi.

In a native life, to time the occurrence of major events, transit of Saturn and Jupiter is considered most important. Any major event including birth, marriage, completion of higher studies, critical illness, death etc. will be on account of influence from Saturn and Jupiter in transit. Calendar year 2025 is eventful for most of the individuals as both Saturn and Jupiter are changing Rashi at short intervals resulting in fructification of multiple events. Below highlighted is transit of Saturn and Jupiter during 2025:

  • Saturn enters from Aquarius to Pisces on 29 March 2025.
  • Jupiterenters from Taurus to Mithun on 14 May 2025. Jupiter enters from Mithun to Karka on 18 October 2025 and enters back to Mithun on December 5, 2025.

Based transit of planets while considering rising ascendent (Lagna) in the natal/ birth chart of the native, below are illustrative guidelines to navigate calendar year 2025:

For Aries (Mesh) Lagna: gain from change, fortune will prevail, pilgrimage is beneficial, interest in occult science, health needs care, avoid disputes/ fights/ argumentsetc.

Notably, the natal chart should be seen as a whole to arrive at any firm conclusion along with respective divisional charts. The position of planets in a particular zodiac sign, their aspects, inherent results (malefic, benefic), the planets strength and combinations they form in various houses in the natal/ divisional chart must be analyzed and interpreted collectively. Along with the same planetary transit is critical and should be considered.
